For those unaware, M and I have relocated to a new abode - only a dozen-or-so blocks from the former, but far less immersed in the laissez-faire goings on thereof.
It's true, M's had to adjust to sleeping without the not-so-distant sounds of gunfire, and, yes, the apartment has a somewhat "beige" quality -but- the location is amazing (within walking distance of everything downtown) and the light bounces around quite nicely in our little fish bowl.
