That would be Friday off.
Yesterday, Friday, the 9th of February, was not only the third and final day of M's Boards (can I hear an "Amen!" brothers & sisters?), but also found Dee-wayne Brammage, my oldest friend in the world, in town for a visit.
I had no choice but to play hookey. (Can I get a witness?!)
Dee-wayne's doing book research, so after dropping M off at the test site, we headed up to Prescott, looking for abandoned mines and railroad lines... (throw in a dog named Blue and you got yourself the start to a purty good song).
Later, after she'd finished the test, M and I conjoined at Carly's, then Chez Nous, to toast her success:
The test results won't be back for a month and a half - true - but having traversed the ring of fire with life, limb and sanity* intact - survival is victory!
The fact that we're still talking to each other?
Bonus!
*Sanity is, of course, a relative term.
