Woke up this a.m., 4 o' clock, and dreaming.

Had been living with one of the showroom gals*, which was disturbing enough, but also with her frail little black cat, and when I walked into the bathroom the lid was up and he was there inside the toilet, resting in the water.

One of his eyes, btw, was different than the other. Vaguely human.

And when I woke, with my windows open and the birds singing sweetly in the street below, there was a bird there with me inside my bedroom, had alighted on a wooden slat of the blinds, then flitted off.

And then I really woke and what does it mean when little animals appear in your dreams?

*Yes, gals. Get over it.

    Butchwoi,
It means your dick is going to fall off.
"Gals, get over it"? That is what 1950 guys say.
Gals = gallons of milk = jugs = women as objects!!! I thought you were more attuned to your feminine inner-child universal-cosmic-oneness! Reflect on your reflections, Mister Male Chauvinist Pig!!

To see birds in your dream symbolizes your goals, aspirations and hopes. To dream of chirping and/or flying birds, represents joy, harmony, ecstasy, balance, and love. It denotes a sunny outlook in life. You are experiencing spiritual freedom and psychological liberation. It is almost as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

Cats in dreams represent feminine power. Cats also deal with esoteric knowledge, and spiritual guardianship. White cats represent hightened spiritual awareness. Black cats signify hidden secrets or hidden powers within the dreamer.

  4. First, my thanks to the anonymous dream interpreter. Very interesting...

Second, re: "Gals" (and the somewhat ardent, albeit affected response from the infamous Popi, whoever he may be...) 1. Pound sand (okay, not really, but I've gotten used to saying that, tongue in cheek, and it really tickles me for some reason. Yes, I'm 12. And now back to our story...) 2. "Gals" here is a substitution, believe it or not, for "girls" - a term often used in reference to the fairer sex, working in our showroom. (What? "Fairer sex" or "girls" still to assuming? Please see point 1.) 3. Re: "feminine inner-child" Mr. Popi - uh, dude, I'm a dude (all previous references to my dick, notwithstanding) and I've come to the realization men and women are not mirror images of each other -and therefore- it is therefore okay to make reference to those differences. Yes, "gal" is antiquated and not part of my normal vocab. And while there is a tip of the hat to sexual stereotype in my use of it, I should mention certain "girly" behaviors or at least role playing - flirty, male deferent behaviors - are encouraged and even expected in the showroom. Which initially drove me batsh*t, I might add, but have since gotten over it. And yes, there's oodles more to say on the topic, but rather than continue on what could be the world's longest footnote - all references to David
Foster Wallace aside - I'm going to err to the side of discretion. Too late? Did I mention point 1?) Incindentally, I would've made reference to all this in an original footnote -but- in deference to my indebted servitude (i.e. work) had to scuttle off. 4. You said 'jugs'. As Beavis and Butthead would say, "heh-heh, heh-heh."
